CLOSED REMANDED - Based on Ms. Teager's apparent attempts to undo the removal of this matter, the Court finds that sanctions are not warranted at this time. In addition, the Court construes Ms. Teager's request to "dismiss this case" as a request to remand this matter to the state court from which it originated. Accordingly, the Court ORDERS that this matter be REMANDED to the Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, DuPage County, Illinois. (See Order). Copy to Plaintiff via U.S. Mail. ORDER - Defendant Carrie Teager has filed a Notice of Removal in which she alleges that this Court has diversity jurisdiction over this matter. [Filing No. 1.] Ms. Teager has also filed a Motion to Proceed In Forma Pauperis. [Filing No. 3.] This now appears to be the fifth (at least) attempt by Defendants to remove this case. Therefore, the Court ORDERS Ms. Teager to show cause as to why it should not impose similar sanctions against her for the filing of the Notice of Removal in this case. Ms. Teager shall respond to the Order to Show Cause no later than May 6, 2021. In light of the Order to Show Cause, if Ms. Teager still wishes to seek removal of this case, she shall file an Amended Notice of Removal by May 13, 2021 which addresses the issues outlined in this Order and properly alleges a basis for this Court's diversity jurisdiction. Aurora Loan Services, LLC and Ms. Johnson need not respond to the Notice of Removal at which this Order is directed. Aurora Loan Services, LLC is cautioned, however, that when it does respond to the Amended Notice of Removal, and to the extent that it denies any of Ms. Teager's jurisdictional allegations or states that it does not have sufficient information to respond to those allegations, the Court will require the parties to conduct whatever investigation is necessary and file a joint jurisdictional statement confirming that all parties are in agreement with the underlying jurisdictional allegations before the litigation moves forward. Finally, Ms. Teager's Motion to Proceed In Forma Pauperis, #3 , is DENIED, and Ms. Teager may renew her motion upon the filing of her Amended Notice of Removal.
