ORDER - This matter is before the Court on Defendants Christian L. Brown and T.B., by and through His Parents and Next Friends Jenny Brown and Christian L. Browns' Motion for Extension of Time to Answer Plaintiff's Complaint for Declaratory Judgment, Interpleader, and Other Relief. [Dkt. #8 ]. On February 4, 2022, the Court issued an Order noting that Plaintiff's Complaint [Dkt. 1] failed to properly allege diversity jurisdiction and ordering Plaintiff to file an amended complaint to cure the deficiency on or before February 18, 2022. [Dkt. 6.] That Order also stated that "Defendants need not answer or otherwise respond to the complaint at which this order is directed." [Id. at 6.] Accordingly, Defendants' motion to enlarge the deadline to respond to Plaintiff's original complaint [Dkt. 1] is DENIED AS MOOT. Rather, after Plaintiff has filed an amended complaint in compliance with the Court's Order [Dkt. 6], then Defendants will be required to file a response to Plaintiff's Amended Complaint twenty-one days thereafter. In addition, the parties are reminded that, pursuant to Local Rule 6-1(a), any unopposed initial enlargement of time to respond to a pleading or a written discovery request must be obtained by notice only, so Defendants' motion for enlargement of time was improper under that rule. ORDER re #1 Complaint-Plaintiff is ORDERED within FOURTEEN DAYS from the date of this order to file an amended complaint curing the above recited jurisdictional deficiency. Defendants need not answer or otherwise respond to the complaint at which this order is directed. Additionally, Plaintiff's complaint contains personal identifiers ("PDIs"). Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 5.2 requires the redaction of PDIs from all court filings. Accordingly, Plaintiff is directed to file a Motion to Seal Document No. 1 and attach a proposed order, so that the document may be maintained within the Court's ECF system in compliance with the E-Government Act. Plaintiff should also file a redacted version of the document using the minor child defendant's first and last initials for public viewing through the Court's ECF system.1 All future filings, including Plaintiff's amended complaint, should include only the first and last initials of the minor child.
