ORDER DIRECTING PLAINTIFF'S CUSTODIAN TO FORWARD CERTIFIED COPY OF PLAINTIFF'S SIX-MONTH TRUST ACCOUNT STATEMENT - This matter comes before the Court on Plaintiff Virgil Griffin's Motion to Compel Indiana State Prison to Produce Six-Month Printout of Prison Trust Account, which the Court construes as a motion for court assistance. For the reasons explained below, the motion, dkt. [ #4 ], is GRANTED. Mr. Griffin filed a civil rights complaint on February 10, 2022, and simultaneously filed a motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis. Dkts. 1, 3. In Mr. Griffin's motion for court assistance, dkt. #4 , he asserts that he has been unable to get a copy of his trust account statement from his case manager despite asking her about two weeks ago. The Court has no reason to doubt the veracity of the statements in Mr. Griffin's motion. Accordingly, the Court hereby ORDERS the warden or his designee at the Indiana State Prison to provide the Court with a certified copy of Mr. Griffin's trust account statement for the six-month period preceding the filing of this action on February 10, 2022, and to do so no later than March 15, 2022. The trust account statement should be submitted to the Clerk of the Court and should reference case number No. 1:22-cv-308-TWP-TAB. Upon receipt of the required financial statement, the Court will rule on Mr. Griffin's motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis. Dkt. 3. See Order for additional information.
