Filing 10 ORDER DENYING WITHOUT PREJUDICE MOTION FOR ASSISTANCE WITH RECRUITING COUNSEL AND GRANTING MOTION FOR LEAVE TO PROCEED IN FORMA PAUPERIS. The plaintiff's motion to proceed in forma pauperis, dkt. #8 , is granted to the extent that the plaintiff is assessed an initial partial filing fee of Six Dollars and Sixty Cents ($6.60). See 28 U.S.C. 1915(b)(1). The plaintiff shall have through May 2, 2022, in which to pay this sum to the clerk of the district court. The Court finds that he has not made a reasonable effort to recruit counsel on his own before seeking the Court's assistance. See Thomas, 912 F.3d at 978. His motion for assistance with recruiting counsel, dkt. #9 , must therefore be denied without prejudice. The clerk is directed to send the plaintiff a motion for assistance recruiting counsel form, which he must use if he chooses to renew his motion. (See Order).
