Order Directing Further Proceedings - Plaintiffs filed their complaint for wrongful death. The complaint alleges the parties' citizenships, but does not sufficiently allege a basis for the Court's exercise of subject-matter jurisdiction. Presumably, the source of any such jurisdiction is 28 U.S.C. 1332, which authorizes jurisdiction over matters between citizens of different States where the amount in controversy, exceeds $75,000, exclusive of interest and costs. The complaint's factual allegations suggest that the amount-in- controversy requirement is met. Still, the complaint does not make any specific allegation as to the amount in controversy or source of the Court's jurisdiction.
