Filing 13 ORDER Granting Motion to Consolidate Cases - Ms. Lenoir's motion to consolidate, dkt. #12 , is granted. The clerk is directed to close case No. 1:22-cv-2204-JRS-TAB. No final judgment will issue in that case. The pending motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis in this case, dkt. #2 , is denied as moot. Likewise, the pending motion for extension of time to file the trust account statement in this case, dkt. #9 , is denied as moot. The pending motions in this case for assistance with recruiting counsel, dkts. #7 and #10 , and for court assistance, dkt. #6 , are denied as moot. On or before February 6, 2023, Ms. Lenoir shall file an amended complaint in Case No. 2:22-cv-504-JPH-MJD. The amended complaint will completely replace the original. The clerk is directed to docket a copy of this Order in Case No. 2:22-cv-504-JPH-MJD. All future filings shall be filed under Case No. 2:22-cv-504-JPH-MJD. (SEE ORDER.) Filing 11 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE - Plaintiff Shaquille Lenoir instituted this lawsuit by filing a complaint on November 14, 2022, alleging a denial of adequate care for gender dysphoria and mental health conditions at the Johnson County Jail. Dkt. 1. Plaintiff brings claims against four defendants: (1) Johnson County Jail; (2) Quality 360 Healthcare; (3) Nurse Practitioner; (4) Physician Assistant; (5) Abby Hamilton; and (6) Unknown Officers. Accordingly, within 30 days of the date of this Order, Plaintiff shall show cause why this case should not be consolidated into the 504 Case. If this case is consolidated into that case, this case will be closed, and all claims against Defendants will proceed in the 504 Case. The Court also notes that, if the cases are consolidated, Plaintiff will be responsible for only one filing fee. If Plaintiff contends that the cases should not be consolidated, Plaintiff must explain how the claims being pursued in the two cases differ. If Plaintiff fails to timely respond to this Order, this case will be consolidated into the 504 Case without further warning or opportunity to show cause. ***SEE ORDER*** (Copy to Plaintiff via U.S. mail).
