ORDER - It has come to the Court's attention that the Notice of Removal that was filed in this action is inadequate to establish subject matter jurisdiction over this case. Specifically, Defendant asserts that the individual parties in this case "reside" in various states. However, "residence and citizenship are not synonyms and it is the latter that matters for purposes of diversity jurisdiction." See Meyerson v. Harrah's East Chicago Casino, 299 F.3d 616, 617 (7th Cir. 2002). Accordingly, by no later than August 21, 2023, Defendant shall file a Supplemental Jurisdictional Statement that sets out the state of citizenship of each individual party in this case.
