Filing 9 JUDGMENT - this day made its Entry, IT IS NOW ADJUDGED that this cause of action is dismissed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915A. Signed by Judge James Patrick Hanlon on 9/18/2019. (DMW) |
Filing 8 ENTRY DIRECTING FINAL JUDGMENT - Plaintiff Kevin D. Hamlet, an inmate at Putnamville Correctional Facility, filed this civil action seeking money damages and injunctive relief from the defendants. The complaint was dismissed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915A on August 16, 2019, for the reasons explained in that Entry. Mr. Hamlet was given the opportunity to show cause why judgment consistent with that Entry should not issue. He objected to the Court's Entry by filing a 26-page response. After careful review, nothing in Mr. Hamlet's response calls into question the dismissal of this action for the reasons set forth in the August 16, 2019, Entry. Judgment consistent with the Entry of August 16, 2019, shall now enter. Signed by Judge James Patrick Hanlon on 9/18/2019. (DMW) |

Filing 6 Entry Dismissing Complaint and Directing Plaintiff to Show Cause - Mr. Hamlet cannot use this civil action to challenge the outcome of his recently settled civil rights case, 2:17-cv-67-JRS-MJD. His claims that court reporters, defense counsel employed by the State of Indiana, and his pro bono attorney recruited by the Court conspired against him are factually frivolous. The complaint is dismissed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1915A. The plaintiff shall, however, have through September 13, 2019, in which to show cause why Judgment consistent with this Entry should not issue. (See Entry.) Signed by Judge James Patrick Hanlon on 8/16/2019. (Attachments: #1 A- Disposition Order, #2 B- Transcript)(DMW) |
