December 11, 2015 Opinion or Order Filing 94 ORDER on Plaintiff's Request for Liquidated Damages - On November 9, 2015, a 90 hearing was held on the issue of equitable damages. At the hearing, the Plaintiff requested, as part of her relief, liquidated damages. The parties were ordered to brief this issue of Plaintiff's eligibility for liquated damages. The matter is now fully briefed. (Filing No. 91 . Filing No. 92 . Filing No. 93 .) For the reasons explained in this Order, I find that Plaintiff is entitled to liquidated da mages. Thus, Plaintiff's request for an award of liquidated damages is GRANTED. Thus, an Entry of Final Judgment may now be entered for the Plaintiff. Defendant will be liable for the jury award of Sixty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($68,000) and the back pay award of Fifty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars ($56,854). The liquidated damage award is the same as the back pay award, for an additional Fifty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars ($56,854). This brings the total due from Defendant to Plaintiff to One-Hundred Eighty-One Thousand Seven Hundred Eight Dollars ($181,708). Signed by Magistrate Judge William G. April 14, 2015 Opinion or Order Filing 55 ENTRY ON CROSS-MOTIONS FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT. The Defendants' Motion for Summary Judgment (Dkt. No. 31) is GRANTED as to the Plaintiff's age discrimination claim and DENIED as to her retaliation claim. The Plaintiff's Cross-Motion fo r Summary Judgment (Dkt. No. 39) is DENIED. The three-day jury trial in the cause will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 301 of the Winfield K. Denton Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, located at 101 Northwest Martin Lut her King Boulevard, Evansville, Indiana. The final pretrial conference will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in Room 202 of the Birch Bayh Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, located at 46 East Ohio Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
