Filing 8 Order Screening Complaint and Directing Further Proceedings - Because Mr. Parra is incarcerated, the Court must screen his complaint before service on the defendants. This action will proceed with Eighth Amendment claims against all defendants; Fourteenth Amendment claims against Deputy Crear, Deputy Bostock, Deputy Spayd, Deputy Shoenbeck, and Staff Middleton; and First Amendment claims against Deputy Wheeler and Deputy Maeters, as discussed in Part III. All other claims are dismissed. The claims discussed in Part III are the only claims the Court identified in the complaint. If Mr. Parra believes he asserted additional claims, he must notify the Court no later than February 9, 2024. The clerk is directed pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(c)(3) to issue process to the defendants in the manner specified by Rule 4(d). Process shall consist of the complaint, dkt. #1 , applicable forms (Notice of Lawsuit and Request for Waiver of Service of Summons and Waiver of Service of Summons), and this Order. (See Order.)
