ORDER FOR MEETING AND REPORT: 1) Within 30 days counsel shall conduct the meeting required by Rule 26(f) to discuss the possibilities for a prompt settlement or resolution and to develop a proposed discovery plan. 2) At the time of the meeting, counsel shall exchange the disclosures required by Rule 26(a)(1). 3) Within 14 days after the meeting, counsel shall file a joint report outlining the proposed discovery plan. The parties shall contemplate a trial date within 12 months or fewer. The report shall include the following information: (a) views and proposals required by Rule 26(f); (b) length of time necessary to join parties or amend pleadings; (c) length of time necessary to file motions; (d) length of time necessary to complete all pretrial discovery, including expert witness discovery; (e) length of time necessary to make expert disclosures; (f) probable length of trial and whether there will be issues to submit to a jury; (g) dates convenient with counsel to assign this case for trial; (h) whether parties desire a scheduling conference; (i) whether parties consent to the jurisdiction of a magistrate judge for all further proceedings. Consent forms are attached to this order and should be filed no later than date status report is due.
