November 16, 2018 Opinion or Order Filing 6 SECOND ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. (See Full Order.) Respondent did not appear at the hearing on November 16, 2018. The Assistant United States Attorney explained the attempts at service made and the fact that respondent was served by mail. The summons which is the subject of this case had been personally served on respondent earlier. The Assistant United States Attorney requested that the Court reset this hearing to give respondent another attempt to comply. I will continue the hearing and reset it for Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Respondent is warned that should he fail to appear the Court will consider requests that respondent be held in contempt of court and/or for financial sanctions and/or for a writ of body attachment, directing the United States Marshal's Service to take respondent into custody and deliver him to the Court. Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that respondent, Ronnie D. Rhines, must appear before the undersigned, in Courtroom No. 14-South, of the Thomas Eagleton U.S. Courthouse, 111 South 10th Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63102, on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. to show cause why he should not be compelled to comply with the Internal Revenue Service summons served on him on June 8, 2018. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of Court shall mail a copy of this Order to defendants last known address as shown on the docket sheet, and petitioner shall also make all reasonable attempts to serve defendant with this Order. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that respondent Ronnie D. Rhines is specifically warned that sanctions as set out above may be imposed if he again fails to appear as ordered.
