Text of Order: On February 23, 2023, the court ordered plaintiff Images Des Rives Photography to have counsel file an appearance on its behalf, because a business entity may not appear pro se, and Mr. Aboussa, a pro se plaintiff, may not represent another party. On March 2, 2023, plaintiff filed a Notice of Appearance Compliance (11), apparently asserting that because it is a Limited Liability Corporation it may appear pro se. Plaintiff is incorrect. [B]usiness entities, including limited liability companies, cannot litigate their claims pro se. Dickey v. City of Bos., 405 F. Supp. 3d 195, 200 (D. Mass. 2019), aff'd sub nom. Dickey v. City of Bos. through Inspectional Servs. Dep't, No. 19-2045, 2020 WL 13568761 (1st Cir. Dec. 31, 2020) (citing Hooper-Haas v. Ziegler Holdings, LLC, 690 F.3d 34, 36 n.2 (1st Cir. 2012)).
