Filing 6 ORDER denying #5 Motion for Leave to Appear Pro Hac Vice: The Court is in receipt of Plaintiff's motion for pro hac vice admission of Paul Bartels. [D.E. 5]. The motion is denied. Local Civil Rule 101.1(c) requires that an attorney seeking to appear pro hac vice must provide a motion which contains a certified statement of the applicant disclosing each bar in which the applicant is a member in good standing including the year of admission and the name and address of the official or office maintaining the roll of such members of its bar; in lieu thereof, the motion may attach a certificate of good standing issued by the person or office maintaining the roll of the members of its bar. See Local Civ. R. 101.1 (c). Within counsel's submission, Mr. Bartels states that he is in good standing to practice law in the State of New York. [D.E. 5-1, at 1]. However, he has only provided a certificate of good standing from the Eastern District of New York. As it appears Mr. Bartels has not provided to this Court each bar he is a member of good standing in, and the accompanying documentation, the Court denies the motion. Plaintiff may resubmit the motion to fully comply with the Court's local rules. Signed by Magistrate Judge Michael A. Hammer on 11/8/23. (tad) |
