Filing 4 TEXT ORDER: Petitioner sought federal habeas corpus relief, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254, by filing a petition with the Court. Dkt. No. 1. However, on December 16, 2019, the Court ordered the action administratively closed for petitioner's failure to comply with the filing fee requirements. Dkt. No. 2 ("December Order"). Petitioner was directed to either (1) pay the statutory filing fee of $5.00 or (2) submit a completed and signed in forma pauperis application that has been certified by an appropriate official at his facility. Id. Petitioner was advised that upon his compliance with the December Order, the Clerk would reopen this action and forward it to the Court for review. Id. Petitioner has not complied with the December Order. Instead, he has filed a motion to amend and a motion to stay. Dkt. No. 3. Petitioner is advised that this action remains closed; therefore, the Court will not consider the recently filed motions. However, in light of petitioner's pro se status, the Court sua sponte grants petitioner an extension of time to comply with the December Order. Petitioner has thirty (30) days from the issuance of this Order to comply with the December Order. The Clerk of Court is directed to serve this Order upon petitioner together with a blank in forma pauperis application, a copy of the December Order, and an updated docket report.
