TEXT ORDER: Petitioner's motion to seal his petition and accompanying memorandum of law is DENIED. Dkt. No. #4 . Petitioner's vague and conclusory assertions about "privy" information and the need for protection and safety fail to rebut the presumption of public access under the First Amendment and the common law right of public access to court documents. See Lugosch v. Pyramid Co. of Onondaga, 435 F.3d 110, 119-20 (2d Cir. 2006). Petitioner is reminded that if he wants his federal action to proceed, he needs to properly commence it by remitting the statutory filing fee of $5 on or before January 9, 2023.
