Notice [non-document] of case management conference to be held on 1/23/2024 at 09:30 AM to be held by video conference (Toledo) before Judge James G. Carr. Video conference zoom invite to issue to all participants in advance. Report of Parties Planning Meeting due 1/13/2024. Additionally, if Parties wish to enter into an agreed Protective Order in accordance with Appendix L of the Local Rules of Civil Procedure, they shall do so not later than one month after the date of this non-document notice; upon doing so, they shall submit the protective order for endorsement by the undersigned; if agreement has not been reached, notify the undersigned and discovery dispute conference shall be set forthwith to resolve any disagreements. Parties advised to review Judge Carr's Case Management Preferences. Any request due to any conflict to postpone a scheduled status, case management, settlement or other conference with Judge Carr shall be considered only upon timely receipt of a motion to change the date or time of such conference. Such motion shall include the nature of the conflict or other circumstance, when counsel first became aware of such conflict, and nature of such conflict i.e., appearance before another court family (or other circumstance) and if there is a conflicting coordination before the court in which the Judge before whom such engagement exists or has arisen. Counsel shall further notify if such conflict is in a state case, and I expect that every effort will have been made by counsel to be excused from such engagement. If the conflict involves a pending federal case, please provide the same information. Under no circumstance will informal request for a continuance i.e., by email, text or phone, be acceptable except in cases of sudden unforeseeable unavoidable emergency. (D,TM) |
