September 23, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 3 Order: Petitioner Gregory T. Numann has filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the above-captioned matter. He has not, however, tendered the required filing fee or filed an application to proceed in forma pauperis. The Court notes that Petitioner filed a motion for appointment of counsel to which he attached a poverty affidavit (Doc. No. #2 -1). Upon review, this Court finds that Petitioner does not meet the criteria for in forma pauperis status, and therefore, there is no basis for the Court to believe that paying the $5 filing fee would present a hardship to Petitioner.
