Order: On 9/21/2023, Pro Se Petitioner Terrell Anthony Hargrove filed a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus Under 28 U.S.C. 2241 (ECF No. #1 ) in this Court. The docket also reflects Petitioner's motions for Appointment of Counsel, ECF No. #3 , and for Expedited Briefing Schedule and Expedited Review of Habeas Petition (ECF No. #2 ). Petitioner's motion for appointment of counsel is granted. The Court hereby appoints the Office of the Federal Public Defender, NDOH, to represent Petitioner in the instant matter.Petitioner's motions for expedited briefing schedule and habeas review (ECF No. #2 ) are granted to the extent indicated herein. Respondent shall serve and file an "Answer" to the Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus (ECF No. #1 ) (not to exceed 20 pages) within 21 days from the date of this Order and show cause why the Petition should not be granted and the writ as prayed for issued. Petitioner shall have 14 days from the filing of Respondents' Answer to serve and file a "Brief in Response" (not to exceed 10 pages). Respondent shall have 7 days from the filing of Petitioner's Brief in Response to serve and file a "Reply" thereto (not to exceed 10 pages). See Order for additional information and requirements.
