ORDER: Petitioner brings this federal habeas action pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254 and applies for leave to proceed in forma pauperis (IFP). Petitioner has since paid the $5.00 filing fee, and his Application for Leave to Proceed IFP (ECF No. #1 ) is DENIED as moot. Petitioner also requests the appointment of counsel, and the Motion for Appointment of Counsel (ECF No. #3 ) is GRANTED. The Federal Public Defender, 101 S.W. Main St., Suite 1700, Portland, Oregon 97204, is appointed to represent petitioner in this proceeding. The Clerk is directed to send the Federal Public Defender a copy of the Petition and this Order. Within ninety days of this Order, petitioner shall file an Amended Petition clarifying his grounds for relief. At that time, the Court shall issue the appropriate scheduling order.
