If Plaintiff wishes to file an additional response, involving different factual assertions or legal arguments, Plaintiff may do so on or before May 30, 2018. April 23, 2018 Filing 101 Clerk's Notice of Mailing regarding Order 100 mailed to Plaintiff 4/23/2018. (mja)
April 23, 2018 Opinion or Order Filing 100 Order - In January, February, and March, 2018, several defendants filed motions to dismiss this case (ECF #62 , #63 , #73 , #74 , #87 , #88 ), for which responses by Plaintiff were due April 13, 2018. The Court had extended Plaintiff's response deadline to these motions while the Court was considering Plaintiff's renewed motion for appointment of counsel, which the Court ultimately denied. Additional defendants filed motions to dismiss (ECF #93 , #94 ), for which the response by Plaintiff will be due April 24, 2018. Plaintiff did not file any response to the first set of motions on or after April 13, 2018, or seek an extension of time to respond to the pending motions. If a motion to dismiss is granted, the case will be dismissed, either with prejudice (meaning Plaintiff's case ends as to the moving defendant and she cannot file the case again) or without prejudice (meaning Plaintiff can file an amended complaint to cure the problems identified by the Court that caused the Court to dismiss Plaintiff's complaint). Because there may have been some confusion for Plaintiff regarding the deadline for her to respond to the motions to dismiss as a result of Plaintiff's renewed motion for appointment of counsel, the Court will give Plaintiff additional time to respond to all of the pending motions to dismiss. Plaintiff has until May 11, 2018, to respond to all of the motions to dismiss. The Court also notes that a motion for summary judgment (ECF #98 ) has been filed by one defendant. Plaintiff's response to that motion is also due May 11, 2018. Thus, Plaintiff's responses to all currently pending motions are due on May 11, 2018. If Plaintiff does not file a response to any or all of the pending motions, the Court will resolve the motions without the benefit of a response from Plaintiff. Ordered by Judge Michael H. Simon.
