January 31, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 11 ORDER: The Court DENIES Plaintiff's miscellaneous motion (ECF No. #10 ). Plaintiff is proceeding as a self-represented litigant and may appear on her own behalf, but a non-lawyer may not appear in court or file documents on Plaintiff's behalf. See Johns v. Cnty. of San Diego, 114 F.3d 874, 876 (9th Cir. 1997) ("While a non-attorney may appear pro se on his own behalf, '[h]e has no authority to appear as an attorney for others than himself.' ") (citation omitted); Ritchie v. SEC, No. 22-cv-05845, 2023 WL 3059847, at *3 (C.D. Cal. Apr. 24, 2023) ("Because Mr. Ritchie... is not a licensed attorney, the court finds he has no authority to appear as an attorney for others than himself.... Mr. Ritchie's purported power of attorney as to Mr. Johnson does not alter that conclusion."). To the extent Plaintiff requires a court-certified interpreter for a hearing and remains without the assistance of counsel, Plaintiff shall notify the Court prior to the hearing.
