ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. Pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure ("Rule") 4(c)(1) and 4(m), Plaintiff was required to serve the summons and a copy of the complaint within ninety days of the complaint's filing date. Subject to limited exceptions, "proof of service must be made to the court," and "proof must be by the server's affidavit." FED. CIV. P. 4(l)(1), (3). Plaintiff filed the complaint on September 19, 2025, making her proof of service due by December 18, 2025. To date, Plaintiff has not filed any proof of service. The Court therefore orders Plaintiff to show cause in writing by January 2, 2026, why the Court should not dismiss this lawsuit under Rule 4(m) for failure timely to effect service of process.
