ORDER: By April 17, 2026, plaintiff shall show cause in writing why this case should not be dismissed. It is identical to another case that plaintiff filed, 3:26-cv-00595-YY. Plaintiff has indicated to court staff that she intended to file one of the cases on behalf of her minor daughter. However, the captions in both cases list only plaintiff, not her minor daughter. Moreover, plaintiff cannot bring a lawsuit on behalf of her minor daughter without an attorney. Johns v. County of San Diego, 114 F.3d 874, 877 (9th Cir. 1997) (holding "a parent or guardian cannot bring an action on behalf of a minor child without retaining a lawyer").
