ORDER re #6 MOTION requesting Order Writs of Garnishment of Defendant's Property of FEMA Funds Deposited with Third Parties, #7 MOTION for Writ of Garnishment Motion Requesting Status of Writs of Garnishment of Defendant's Property. The motion "requesting garnishment of defendant's property of FEMA funds deposited with third parties" at ECF No. 6 is DENIED. Aside from a perfunctory citation of Puerto Rico Civil Rule 56.1 and Fed. R, Civ. P. 64, plaintiffs' one-page motion fails to include a single line of discussion or argumentation in support of their request. See Local Rule 7. Moreover, plaintiff fails to show that they have met the requirements under the Puerto Rico Rule of Civil Procedure 56.1 referenced and cited in their motion. Furthermore, the Court notes that plaintiffs have not submitted returned or executed summons and that their request includes "garnishment" of funds deposited with several Municipalities that are not named defendants. As if plaintiffs' groundless motion at ECF No. 6 was not enough, today plaintiffs filed a second motion, ECF No. 7, indicating that the Court "has not provided an order or remedy" in connection with their motion at ECF No. 6, which was filed only seven days ago. The motion requesting order at ECF No. 7 is DENIED. Plaintiffs' counsel is warned that this Court will not tolerate baseless and unsupported motions and that sanctions may result from such conduct hereon forward, including but not limited to, monetary sanctions pursuant to Fed.
