March 10, 2022 Opinion or Order Filing 13 TEXT ORDER granting in part and denying in part #11 Motion for Extension of Time and Copies: Plaintiff seeks an additional forty-five days to respond to the Magistrate Judge's #9 Report and Recommendation ("R & R"), as well as copies of documents from prior cases filed in this Court. The Court GRANTS Plaintiff twenty-one additional days to respond to the R & R. Any objection/response to the R & R is now due by April 4, 2022.However, the Court DENIES Plaintiff's request for copies. The Court does not provide copies to litigants free of charge. See, e.g., Oglesbee v. O'Brien, 2011 WL 9933764, at *1 (W.D. Va. Oct. 24, 2011), aff'd, 475 F. App'x 481 (4th Cir. 2012) ("Although the court granted plaintiff leave to proceed in forma pauperis in this action, this status only permits him to file the action without prepayment of the filing fee; plaintiff is not automatically entitled to free copies or other materials."). The Clerk's Office charges $0.50 cents per page for copies.
