October 15, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 7 SUPPLEMENTAL ORDER APPOINTING COUNSEL: In a separate Order, this Court has appointed two out-of-district attorneys to represent Petitioner in this federal habeas corpus action. It is hereby ORDERED that: On or before thirty days from the date of this Order, Petitioner's counsel shall each file on the appropriate form an application for leave to appear pro hac vice and pay the appropriate fee to the Clerk of the Court. If they have not done so already, on or before thirty days from the date of this Order, each of Petitioner's counsel shall register via this Court's website as an ECF user and as an eVoucher user. October 13, 2020 Opinion or Order Filing 6 ORDER APPOINTING COUNSEL AND SETTING DEADLINES (CJA 30): Attorney Danalynn Recer, is appointed lead counsel of record for Williams; attorney Amy Knight, is appointed co-counsel of record for Williams. This appointment continues through any appeal unless counsel is relieved by court order - see Miscellaneous Order 3, Criminal Justice Act Plan. Within one week, the court will contact you via email and provide a link to the eVoucher System. Any work done on an appeal must be billed per circuit instructions. For questions, consult the #CJA Attorney Information page or use the #directory to contact the appointing judges courtroom deputy. Copies of public documents filed prior to this appointment may be obtained via PACER. On or before 9/15/2021, Williams shall file, and serve on the Criminal Appeals Division of the Office of the Texas Attorney General, his federal habeas corpus petition in this cause. Respondent shall file his answer to Williams's federal habeas corpus or other responsive pleading on or before ninety days after receipt of a copy of Williamss federal habeas corpus petition. On or before thirty days after the date Respondent files his answer or other responsive pleading in this cause, Respondent shall submit to the Clerk of this Court true and correct copies of all pertinent state court records from Williams's state trial, direct appeal, and state habeas corpus proceedings. The Clerk shall send a copy of this Order via first class mail with a receipt acknowledgment card enclosed or attached to (1) Williams, (2) Petitioner's counsel of record, and (3) Respondent's counsel of record.
