Filing 5 Notice that the clerk has been instructed to apply the attached sanction order to the submissions indexed under number: 3:21-cv-00796. The sanction order was originally filed in: 3:02cv00112 and states: IT IS ORDERED that the Clerk of this Court shall not accept from Melvin R. Hassell any pleadings or documents in this case, or in any other case filed or to be filed within this district, unless Hassell first obtains leave from this Court to make such filing. Leave for filing may be obtained only by filing with this Court a motion for leave to file the pleading or document and attaching a copy of the pleading or document to the motion. The pleading or document shall not be filed by the Clerk of Court unless this Court first grants Hassell leave to file. That order prohibits the filing of a case, so the number assigned to this closed matter remains for indexing purposes only. (twd) |
Filing 4 ORDER ADMINISTRATIVELY CLOSING CASE: The complaint here is substantially the same as one Hassell previously filed in the Fort Worth Division of this district. Here too, Hassell failed to obtain leave of Court prior to filing this lawsuit. The Court therefore ORDERS the following: Hassell is again WARNED that leave for filing may be obtained only by filing with this Court a motion for leave to file the pleading or document and attaching a copy of the pleading or document to the motion. The pleading or document shall not be filed by the Clerk of Court unless this Court first grants Hassell leave to file. The Clerk shall file a copy of the sanctions order in No. 3:02-cv-112-G in this case and then ADMINISTRATIVELY CLOSE this case. Any pending and future motions filed in this action shall be docketed for administrative purposes only and terminated. No action will be taken on those filings while this action remains closed under to the sanctions order and this order. The Clerk shall also forward copies of this order and the prior sanctions order to the Hassell. And he is further WARNED that failing to obey this order and the prior sanctions order may subject him to additional sanctions. (Ordered by Magistrate Judge David L. Horan on 4/13/2021) (twd) |
