Filing 6 ELECTRONIC ORDER: On January 10, 2024, the plaintiff filed this case in the County Court at Law No. 2 of Dallas County, Texas, against the defendant Schneider National Carriers, Inc. ("SNC"). See generally Plaintiff's Original Petition, attached to defendant Schneider National Carriers, Inc.'s Notice of Removal ("Notice") (docket entry 1). On February 16, 2024, SNC removed the case to this court on the basis of diversity of citizenship and stated that it "has been served with a service of process and including a copy of Plaintiff's Original Petition, by and through its registered agent on or about January 26, 2024." Notice at 2 (emphasis added). SNC had not filed an answer in state court prior to removal, and it has not filed an answer in this court. See Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 81(c)(2); see also Supplemental Civil Cover Sheet for Cases Removed from State Court, attached to Notice. Although SNC is in default, the plaintiff has failed to move for entry of default and a default judgment.
