ELECTRONIC ORDER: Before the Court is Plaintiff's Motion to Request Service by US Marshals. Doc. #7 . On February 24, 2025, Plaintiff filed suit and paid the $402.00 filing fee. Doc. #3 . Having paid the filing fee, Plaintiff is responsible for obtaining summons and effecting service of process as required by Rule 4 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure."If a defendant is not served within 90 days after the complaint is filed, the court -- on motion or on its own after notice to the plaintiff -- must dismiss the action without prejudice against that defendant or order that service be made within a specified time. But if the plaintiff shows good cause for the failure to serve, the court must extend the time for service for an appropriate period." Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(m) (emphasis added).Accordingly, Plaintiff is advised that this case will be dismissed under Rule 4(m) unless by May 27, 2025, service of process on each Defendant is completed or Plaintiff shows good cause in writing for the failure to do so.
