ELECTRONIC ORDER: This case was initiated in this Court on the basis of diversity jurisdiction. The amount in controversy is not in question; however, the diversity of citizenship of the parties is. The diversity of the parties' citizenship must be complete in that one of the plaintiffs cannot share the same state citizenship as one of the defendants. For diversity purposes, the citizenship of an LLC is determined by the citizenship of each of its members. Harvey v. Grey Wolf Drilling Co., 542 F.3d 1077, 107980 (5th Cir. 2008). The Court cannot determine whether it has subject-matter jurisdiction over this case, so the Court ORDERS Plaintiff Champman to file an amended complaint within 10 days of this order that specifically states the citizenship of each member of the LLC parties and clarifies whether there is diversity among the parties.
