ELECTRONIC Order Transferring to Eastern District. Plaintiff Veronica Wolfe filed this class action case in federal court against Defendants Amdocs, Inc., The Investment Committee of Amdocs, Inc., and John Does 1-10. Doc. No. 1 at 1. Plaintiff alleges, generally, that Defendants breached their fiduciary duties to Plaintiff and other employees by failing to satisfy their duties in managing a defined contribution plan subject to ERISA regulation. See id. at 2-5. Plaintiff further alleges that venue is proper in the Northern District of Texas because a substantial part of the events giving rise to her claims occurred in this District, Plaintiff resides in this District, and Defendants reside and may be found in this District. Id. at 6. However, Plaintiff states that she resides in Allen, Texas, and alleges that Amdocs, Inc. only Texas-based office is located in Plano, Texas. Id. Both Allen and Plano are in Collin County, which is located in the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division. 28 U.S.C. § 124(c)(3). In a phone call with the Court, Plaintiff's local counsel agreed that the parties are located in Collin County and transferring this case to the Eastern District of Texas is appropriate.For these reasons, the Court finds that the case has a more substantial connection to the Eastern District of Texas. Accordingly, on the Court's own motion, this case is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division. 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a); see also § 124(c)(3).
