ELECTRONIC ORDER: Before the Court is Defendant Rushmore Loan Management Services LLC's ("Rushmore") Unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to Answer or Otherwise Respond to Plaintiff's Complaint (the "Motion") (Doc. No. 11). Rushmore seeks to extend its deadline to answer or respond to Plaintiff Charlie Johnson's Complaint to October 15, 2025. Doc. No. 11 at 1. The Court points out that Plaintiff placed summons in the mail on August 20, 2025, and summons was delivered to Rushmore on August 25, 2025. Doc. No. 9 at 1-3. However, Rushmore filed the present Motion on September 23, 2025. Doc. No. 11. Therefore, Rushmore's deadline to file a responsive pleading to Plaintiff's Complaint has passed. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(a). Rushmore also failed to cite the applicable standard for requesting extensions of time. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(b). However, the Court THIS ONE TIME GRANTS the Motion. Rushmore shall file its answer or other responsive pleading by October 15, 2025. From the date of this Order, if any Party files a motion for extension of time without citing the applicable standard under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 6(b), the Court will summarily deny the motion.(Ordered by Judge Ed Kinkeade on 9/24/2025) (chmb)
