ELECTRONIC ORDER:Before the Court is the parties' Joint Motion to Extend Mediation and Joint Mediation Report Deadlines (the "Joint Motion") (Doc. No. 15). The Court starts by pointing out that the parties fail to cite to the applicable standard for extensions of scheduling deadlines. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 16(b)(4) ("[a] schedule may be modified only for good cause and with the judge's consent"). However, having carefully considered the Joint Motion and the parties' proffered reasons for requesting an extension of the mediation deadline, the Court can and does, THIS ONE TIME, find good cause for the requested extension of the mediation and joint report deadlines set forth in this Court's Scheduling Order (Doc. No. 8). See id. Accordingly, the Court GRANTS the Joint Motion. The parties shall complete mediation by April 15, 2026 and file their joint mediation report by April 22, 2026. This deadline will not be extended again absent good cause and exigent circumstances. From the date of this Order, if any party moves for extension of time or deadline without citing to the applicable standard under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the Court will summarily deny the motion. (Ordered by Judge Ed Kinkeade on 3/19/2026) (chmb)
