October 30, 2025 Opinion or Order Filing 3 ELECTRONIC ORDER Transferring Case to the Fort Worth Division of the Northern District of Texas:Plaintiffs Mary Kelly Sutton, John Humiston, Mary Talley Bowden, Mark Brody, and Physicians and Patients Reclaiming Medicine filed this civil rights case in federal court against Defendant Federation of State Medical Boards, Inc. ("FSMB") and multiple other Defendants. See generally Doc. No. 1 (alleging claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983). Plaintiffs allege that "[t]his Court has personal jurisdiction over all Defendants because Defendant FSMB's headquarters in Euless, Texas were the physical locus of all Defendants' conspiracy to violate 42 U.S.C. § 1983, as pled in Count II." Id. at 28. Further, Plaintiffs claim that venue is proper in the Northern District of Texas because "a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim[s] occurred in the district" and "Defendant [FSMB] resides in the district." Id.The Northern District of Texas is comprised of seven divisions. 28 U.S.C. § 124(a). Euless is located in Tarrant County, which is within the Fort Worth Division. Id. at § 124(a)(2). Based on the allegations in Plaintiffs' Complaint, a substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to Plaintiffs' claims occurred in Tarrant County rather than a county in the Dallas Division of the Northern District of Texas. The Court finds that this case has a more substantial connection to the Fort Worth Division of the Northern District of Texas. On the Court's own motion, this case is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division. See 28 U.S.C. § 1404(a). (Ordered by Judge Ed Kinkeade on 10/30/2025) (chmb)
