June 6, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 7 ORDER OF DISMISSAL: Tommy Allen Cook filed a petition under 28 U.S.C. 2241, but did not pay the $5.00 filing fee or file an application to proceed in forma pauperis. Accordingly, by order and notice of deficiency signed May 15, 2023, the Court ordered that by May 31, 2023, Petitioner must either pay the $5.00 filing fee or file a completed application to proceed in forma pauperis accompanied by a certificate of inmate trust account or institutional equivalent. The order cautioned that failure to comply might result in the dismissal of the petition without further notice for want of prosecution. FED. R. CIV. P. 41(b). Petitioner has filed another motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis, but it does not provide the required information. Nor has he submitted a proper certificate of inmate trust account. Rather, the filings are frivolous. The Court concludes that no lesser sanction than dismissal would be appropriate or effective. The petition is DISMISSED. (Ordered by Judge Reed C. O'Connor on 6/6/2023) (sre)
