ELECTRONIC Order Transferring Case to the Fort Worth Division of the Northern District of Texas. Plaintiffs LaMonica Bratton and LaBeverly Bonner ("Plaintiffs"), individually and on behalf of the Estate of Chasity Bonner, deceased, filed this civil rights case in federal court and against Tarrant County, Texas and John Doe Officers 1-10 (together, "Defendants"). See Doc. No. 1 at 4, 9-10 (alleging claims brought under the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution and 42 U.S.C. § 1983). The caption of Plaintiffs' Original Complaint (Doc. No. 1) expressly references the Fort Worth Division of the Northern District of Texas. Id. at 1 (emphasis added). Plaintiffs have brought these claims against Tarrant County, located in the Fort Worth Division, and against unnamed Tarrant County jailers. See id. Further, Plaintiffs' venue allegations indicate that the acts and/or omissions giving rise to their causes of action occurred in the Fort Worth Division. Id. at 10. A phone call with Plaintiffs' counsel confirmed that this case was inadvertently filed in the Dallas Division, and Plaintiffs' counsel agreed that transfer of this case to the Fort Worth Division is proper.Accordingly, on the Court's own motion, this case is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division.
