September 2, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 43 ORDER: The Court ordered Plaintiff Dominik Karnas to explain why venue in the Northern District of Texas was proper. (Doc. 40). Because Defendant Tracy McGrady is a resident of the Southern District of Texas, Karnas agrees that this case should be transferred to the Southern District of Texas pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1404(a). Accordingly, the Court instructs the clerk's office to immediately transfer this action. Because the case remains in the Fifth Circuit, a 21-day stay is unnecessary. The Court VACATES all pending deadlines in this case and CLOSES this action in the Northern District of Texas. (Ordered by Judge Brantley Starr on 9/2/2026) (twd)

The Court therefore ORDERS Plaintiff Dominik Karnas to brief the Court on why venue is proper in the Northern District of Texas, instead of the Southern District of Texas, where T-Mac resides. Plaintiff Karnas SHALL file the brief no later than 8/26/2026. Defendant McGrady may reply no later than 9/1/2026. (Ordered by Judge Brantley Starr on 8/19/2026) (twd)
