July 19, 2022 Opinion or Order Filing 16 MEMORANDUM ORDER: This employment discrimination action brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 arises out of pro se Plaintiff Nycoca C. Hariston's employment as a logistics management specialist for the United States Army at Camp Arifjan, in Kuwait. (Doc. No. #1 .) Hairston filed a request for entry of default against Defendant Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 55(a). (Doc. No. #10 .) The Clerk of Court denied Hairston's request, finding that Hairston "attempted to serve [Wormuth] and the U.S. Attorney General via USPS Priority Mail rather than by either registered or certified mail, which is insufficient to satisfy the service obligations of Federal Rule 4."
