TEXT ONLY ORDER signed by Chief Judge Pamela Pepper on 7/12/2022 re #4 defendants' Civil Local Rule 7(h) (E.D. Wis.) expedited, non-dispositive motion for extension of time to answer or otherwise plead; #6 plaintiff's motion for leave to file documents and brief; and #7 plaintiff's motion to sanction with prejudice. The court FINDS that the defendants have shown good cause and GRANTS their motion for an extension of time. Dkt. No. 4. The defendants filed their motion within seven days of removal and otherwise state that no individual defendant has been served. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 81(c)(2). The court ORDERS that the time for the defendants to file an answer or other responsive pleading to the complaint is EXTENDED until the end of the day on August 17, 2022. The court CONSTRUES the plaintiff's motion for leave to file documents and brief as a motion to exceed the page limitations set forth in Civil L.R. 7(h) and DENIES that motion. Dkt. No. 6. The plaintiff filed a 26-page brief in opposition to the defendants' Rule 7(h) motion for an extension of time and has provided no basis for ignoring the page limitations set forth in Civil L.R. 7(h). The court DENIES the plaintiff's motion to sanction with prejudice. Dkt. No. 7. The motion appears to be directed at the defendants' notice of removal and the plaintiff's motion to remand.
