As previously explained #17 , in this prisoner civil rights action, the Court cannot consider or resolve Mr. Mayfield's claim that he is innocent of charges for which he is in state custody. Nor can it grant any related relief, such as release from custody or parole. To pursue those issues in federal court, Mr. Mayfield must file a separate federal habeas action under 28 U.S.C. 2254.
