ORDER: Plaintiff has submitted a letter #6 stating that he intends to prepay the full $402 filing fee and filed an application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 in support of his request for counsel and service of process at government expense. The Court will consider Plaintiff's application for those purposes at a later time. For now, however, the Court denies the application #5 in order to clarify the docket as Plaintiff (correctly, given his finances) is not requesting permission to pay the fee in installments. To prepay the full filing fee, Plaintiff (or someone acting on his behalf) should (1) send a check or money order (2) in the amount of $402.00 (3) that is made payable to the Clerk of Court and clearly identifies his name and the case number assigned to this case (4) in an envelope addressed to the Clerk of Court, United States District Court, 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604, attn: Cashier's Desk, 20th Floor. Payment may also be hand delivered to the Clerk's Office. If Plaintiff does not comply by December 8, 2022, the Court will summarily dismiss this case. Plaintiff should also be aware that payment of the fee does not guarantee that this case will proceed as his complaint will still be subject to screening and potential dismissal. In this regard, it is too early to screen Plaintiff's complaint given his open fee status but he should bear in mind that he will not be allowed to litigate claims based on alleged events at the Hill Correctional Center as part of this lawsuit. The Clerk is directed to: (1) update the docket and caption to list Plaintiff's name as "Jeffrey Hollingshead aka Jeffrey Hollinghead" as Plaintiff has identified his last name as "Hollingshead" but he is in custody under the last name "Hollinghead"; and (2) send a copy of this order to Plaintiff.
