TELEPHONIC RULE 16 PRELIMINARY PRETRIAL CONFERENCE held on 10/19/2023, before Magistrate Judge Joshua P Kolar. Pla appeared by atty Duke Escue. Dft appeared by atty Christopher Zelli. The Report filed as DE #8 is ADOPTED as follows: Initial Disclosures to be exchanged by 12/20/2023. All discovery to be completed by 12/2/2024. Plaintiff expert witness disclosures and reports to be delivered to the defendant by 6/19/2024. Defendant expert witness disclosures and reports to be delivered to the plaintiff by 8/21/2024. Rule 26(e) supplements due by 9/16/2024 for Pltf, 10/2/2024 for Defendant. The last date to seek leave of court to join additional parties and to amend the pleadings for Pltf is 12/8/2023; for Dft is 1/12/2024. Parties anticipate the case should be ready for a 4 day jury trial by January 22, 2025. Galen Bradley appointed as mediator. Results of the mediation shall be filed with the court no later than 10 days before the final pretrial conference. Parties reminded of disclosure obligations under General Order 2023-6. Court stresses importance of considering all ethical implications of using AI, including checking any cited authority. All other dates/ddls to be set by presiding judge at a later time.
