ORDER - TRANSFERRING ACTION TO NORTHERN DISTRICT OF INDIANA; Martize Kirkland, an inmate at Miami Correctional Facility, filed this civil action against defendants at Miami Correctional Facility for events that occurred in Miami County. Miami County is in the South Bend Division of the Northern District of Indiana. The defendants' alleged actions giving rise to Mr. Kirkland's complaint all occurred in Miami County. Dkt. The defendants appear to reside in Miami County, and even if they do not, there is no allegation that they reside in the Southern District of Indiana. Venue is improper in the Southern District of Indiana, so this case must be dismissed or transferred. For the convenience of parties and witnesses, and in the interest of justice, this action is now TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, South Bend Division. The clerk is directed to terminate the pending motions on the docket.
