CLOSED TRANSFER to THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF INDIANA: Petitioner James Michael Brown filed a petition for habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2254 challenging his conviction in St. Joseph County, Indiana. A review of the petition shows that Mr. Brown is confined at Miami Correctional Facility, located in Miami County, Indiana. See dkt. 1-3. Because both St. Joseph County and Miami County sit in the Northern District of Indiana, see 28 U.S.C. 94(a) (1)(2), that District is the only proper venue for the action based on the allegations in his petition. 28 U.S.C. 2241(d).
