Filing 12 MOTION for Assistance Recruiting Counsel, filed by Plaintiff RAFAEL ROSA, III. (CKM) |
Filing 11 ORDER - denying #10 Motion to Appoint Counsel ; The Court has given Mr. Rosa the chance to file an amended complaint. The amended complaint needs to state simply who allegedly violated his rights, how they did it, and what injury he suffered as a result. Because Mr. Rosa has demonstrated his ability to file coherent documents and he has direct knowledge of the facts on which his claims are based, he has not demonstrated that he requires legal assistance to file an amended complaint. Mr. Rosa is competent to litigate the case himself at this time. His motion for assistance with recruiting counsel, dkt. #10 , is therefore denied. Mr. Rosa shall have through October 5, 2020, to file an amended complaint as directed. Signed by Judge Sarah Evans Barker on 9/10/2020. Copy Mailed. (CKM) Modified on 9/11/2020 (CKM). |
