ORDER - denying #10 Motion to Appoint Counsel ; The Court has given Mr. Rosa the chance to file an amended complaint. The amended complaint needs to state simply who allegedly violated his rights, how they did it, and what injury he suffered as a result. Because Mr. Rosa has demonstrated his ability to file coherent documents and he has direct knowledge of the facts on which his claims are based, he has not demonstrated that he requires legal assistance to file an amended complaint. Mr. Rosa is competent to litigate the case himself at this time. His motion for assistance with recruiting counsel, dkt. #10 , is therefore denied. He shall have through August 24, 2020, to pay an initial partial filing fee of Eleven Dollars and Fifty-Four Cents ($11.54). Mr. Rosa's complaint is dismissed for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. The dismissal of the complaint will not in this instance lead to the dismissal of the action at present.
