ORDER re #1 MOTION to Vacate, Set Aside or Correct Sentence (2255) ( Criminal Action 20-cr-1036.) filed by Brian Allen Hale, Jr: On or before 06/05/2023, petitioner's former counsel, Murdoch Walker, is directed to file with the Court an affidavit that responds only to the petitioner's specific allegations of ineffective assistance of counsel. On or before 07/10/2023, the government is directed to file a brief addressing the merits of petitioner's Motion to Vacate, Set Aside, or Correct Sentence. The government is further directed to order transcripts of the change of plea hearing and sentencing hearing from petitioner's underlying criminal case. On or before 08/21/2023, if he so chooses, petitioner is directed to file a brief in reply to the government's response. If petitioner objects to former counsel responding as ordered herein, he is ordered to file an objection stating the grounds for his objection with 14 days of the date of this order.
