This court has not completed its preliminary review of the original complaint, see 28 U.S.C. 1915A. This court cannot determine at this preliminary stage: whether there would be fundamental unfairness if counsel were denied, see DesRosiers v. Moran, 949 F.2d 15, 23 (1st Cir. 1991). Accordingly, the pending motion (Doc. No. 2) is denied as premature, without prejudice to plaintiffs ability to seek similar relief after the court completes its preliminary review.
