ORDER re #5 Answer to Complaint filed by PETER F PIKE, CHRISTINA PIKE. On October 17, 2019, I held a telephonic hearing with Attorneys Longoria and Hatem, for the plaintiff and defendants, respectively, to discuss the defendants' demand for mediation, pursuant to 14 M.R.S.A. Section 6321-A, et seq., set forth in Paragraph 52 of their answer, ECF No. 5. After discussion, the parties agreed to the issuance of a standard track scheduling order in this matter, and I accordingly DIRECT the clerk of court to issue that order forthwith. However, the parties also reported that they will pursue settlement privately in the coming weeks and, if unsuccessful, would request a judicial mediation conference; accordingly, without objection, I SET a deadline of December 2, 2019, for making a request to this court for a judicial mediation conference, if settlement is not achieved before then.
