Doe 174 v. The Order of St. Benedict

A man who was once an altar boy at St. Anselm’s Church in the Bronx sued The Order of St. Benedict and St. John's Abbey, alleging that "[s]hortly after hearing Plaintiff's confession," then associate paster and former Abbot Timothy Kelly sexually abused him.

According to the lawsuit, the Abbot who abused him later became head of the 'Interfaith Sexual Trauma Institute,' allegedly created "to establish a forum for victims of clergy sexual abuse."
